Shoulder Arthroscopy

Shoulder arthroscopy is surgery that uses a tiny camera called an arthroscope to examine or repair the tissues inside or around your shoulder joint. The arthroscope is inserted through a small cut (incision) in your skin.

Arthroscopic shoulder surgery is used to treat a variety of common shoulder problems, including bursitistendonitisarthritisimpingementrotator cuff tears, labral tears and shoulder instability. Usually patients who have shoulder arthroscopy have not responded well to other treatment options including rest, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and steroid injections.
